GE-HEI Final Conference

The GE-HEI Final Conference - Gender Equality in Higher Education Institutions: knowing the reality in order to transform it, took place on February 13th 2023 at ISCSP-ULisboa, located in the University Campus of Alto da Ajuda in Lisbon.

Among the many elements and statistical data presented, the conclusions point to a reality still marked by gender inequalities in the access and participation of women in Higher Education, with patterns of horizontal and vertical segregation. To understand these regularities it is necessary to look at cultural factors and much more subtle and implicit mechanisms that persist in academic contexts. It is therefore important to consider how people and institutions perceive and promote Gender Equality (GI) in Higher Education in Portugal.
