CIEG

The Interdisciplinary Centre for Gender Studies (CIEG), a research centre belonging to the Higher Institute of Social and Political Sciences of the University of Lisbon (ISCSP-ULisboa), was created in February 2012. Integrating the network of research centres of the Foundation for Science and Technology (FCT), CIEG was classified as Excellent in 2015 and in 2019 by panels of FCT international evaluators, being the only centre in Portugal entirely dedicated to the scientific area of Gender Studies.

CIEG counts with the collaboration of researchers from several national and foreign universities who work on gender issues from different perspectives and disciplines.

Institute for Gender, Equality, and Difference, University of Iceland, is a leading institution in the field of women's, gender and equality research in Iceland. The Institute, promotes interdisciplinary gender research and the dissemination of research results and information.

A3ES

Established by the State through Decree-Law No. 369/2007, of 5 November, the Assessment and Accreditation Agency for Higher Education (A3ES) is a private law foundation, established for an indefinite period of time, with legal personality and recognised as public utility. 

It is independent in the exercise of its competences, without prejudice to the guiding principles legally established by the State. 

The primary purpose of the Agency is to provide the improvement of the quality of the performance of higher education institutions and their study cycles and to guarantee the fulfilment of the basic requirements for their official recognition.

The Agency's objectives are pursued through the assessment and accreditation of higher education institutions and their study cycles and, through them, the promotion of an internal institutional culture of quality assurance.
